Little Touch Leap Pad

12.22.05

I bought this product when my son was a year old. That was a bit young for it. He has shown more and more interest over the past 8 months although we did use it regularly before then as well. He actually ‘reads’ from it himself now. When he was younger, I think he enjoyed the power of turning it off and on more than anything (it says “bye bye” when you turn it off). The only complaint I have is that sometimes you have to press kind of hard on the object and that’s tough for little fingers. It has 3 different levels and is very diverse. You can press the words and it will ‘read’ the words to your child. Additionally, each object you touch makes a descriptive noise; on setting 2, it states what it is and plays a sound; on setting 3, it encourages interactive play as well – we haven’t gotten to that stage yet. It has not worn out it’s usefulness and the pages withstand abuse from small hands and DO NOT rip! Another product I would recommend to mothers!
